Any company that encourages imaginative, outside play is winning in my book, which is why we love Step2! Step2 is the leading innovator of children’s toys that build imaginations and enrich the family’s celebration of childhood. I have been toying with the idea of getting Adam and Lucas a playhouse for quite some time so I was really excited when Step2 offered to send us one for review!
I browsed through their awesome selection of outdoor playhouses and finally settled on one that I knew the boys would love: the Neat and Tidy Cottage. One reason I chose this playhouse was because of the molded-in floor which keeps the boys out of the dirt and the dirt out of my house! When the huge box arrived, Adam was beyond excited and made daddy put it together right away. The assembly was super easy and took DH less than 10 minutes to “build” the playhouse.
This playhouse has literally provided hours of fun and play for the boys (and they actually play together in it!). Lucas loves the little table. He sits there and talks on the phone by the open window. He also loves to ring the doorbell, which gets kind of annoying after awhile! Adam loves to sweep the floor and boss Lucas around inside of “his” house. Boys. I love all the little details like the phone, the doorbell, the mailbox with slot, and the sink.
The Neat and Tidy Cottage is much bigger than I thought it would be, which is great because the boys will be able to play in it longer. Adam does have to duck his head to enter through the doorway but he is able to stand up straight once inside. But they rarely use the doorway, they like to jump in through the windows
