It’s nearly impossible for me to prepare well balanced meals three times a day, seven days a week for my kids. I would love to do so but lack of time and the inconvenience-ness of it make it pretty difficult. Not to mention the fact that I have one very picky eater on my hands. Dinner usually consists of me trying to force feed veggies to Adam while he is all sorts of hysterical. Now I know what my parents went through…
I recently came across KidFresh meals. These meals offer a nice alternative to other frozen meals. They are all natural, nothing artificial added, and include hidden veggies. I usually puree veggies to sneak in meals so I was thrilled to learn that KidFresh does that. KidFresh meals are available in six kid favorite varieties. While everything about KidFresh meals sounds amazing from my stance, the real test is the taste test with my kids. Will they eat it? Will they just know that these are good for them? I swear kids can sniff out veggies from anything.
I knew Lucas would love them (he eats anything!) so I went ahead and picked up one of each variety that our grocery store had (which was only three..). Adam loves cheese quesadillas so I was really hoping he’d like it because these meals would be perfect for after school quick lunches. Two minutes in the microwave, talk about convenience! Very surprisingly, Adam loved the cheese quesadilla (made with whole wheat, real cheese, and carrots) meal. Loved. I even stocked up on more because he liked them so much and mama likes that he’s getting some veggies without even knowing it! On the other hand, he did not like the macaroni and cheese. But, Lucas loved them all
I am stalking my local Publix for more KidFresh meals because I’d really like to have the kids try them all. You can find KidFresh meals at your local Publix or find a retailer near you.
