I am so excited that Halloween is right around the corner! It is one of my favorite holidays (who doesn’t love free candy?!) and my kids really enjoy dressing up and trick-or-treating.
This year is extra special because it’ll be Sophia’s first Halloween! I am already gathering the materials to make her costume and I’m sure it’s going to kill me with cute to see her all dressed up!
We have BIG plans for Halloween this year! Dh and I decided that we would put together a little Halloween Party and invite all of Adam’s little school friends over. We are busy preparing for that and have turned to sites like Pinterest for awesome recipes and party planning tips.
Aside from planning a rockin’ Halloween Party, my family also prepares for this fun holiday in several ways. We go all out on the costume front, yes even myself and DH dress up, and Adam has already announced that he’ll be Luigi for Halloween and Lucas can be Mario! Adam had a lot of fun “dressing” as Luigi in the Kmart Kreator and I was able to easily order his costume from there. Apparently, Luigi carries around a Captain America shield, who knew?!
Once October rolls around, it’s time to start getting the house Halloweenified! Cob webs and spiders, carved pumpkins, black and orange, and whimsical Halloween decor turn our house into a festive Halloween home.
In final preparation, and to get the kids [even more] excited for the holiday, we do Halloween crafts and load up on candies for trick-or-treaters.
